Lion Movie Night

What a lovely gathering at Etta’s last Thursday. Thank you, Etta, for your lovely hospitality. It was so interesting to watch the movie in conjunction with reading the book, “Lion.” (there – got all views included!)  And it was a first for a long time that all members were able to attend (except Amy of course – but we hope she’ll join us again someday.) The general agreement was that the story is amazing (a 10) and the writing not so much. I gave the latter a 6 but the memoir is astonishing and I’m glad to have read it.

Nov. 18

November 2016 Book:  “Sweet Tooth!”  Lots of discussion at chatty meeting at Lilli’s last evening! Rated 7-8.  Not a real favourite! Those who have read other books by author Ian McEwan enjoyed it more than first time readers of his books. Me – I enjoyed it thoroughly. Thanks Lilli!
