July 20
Hello everyone,
My hubby has just planned a camping/hiking trip for us on July 18 to 21. (our Anniversary)
So I will no be able to have the Pencil book club meeting at my house on July 20th. Maybe someone else?
Lion Movie Night
What a lovely gathering at Etta’s last Thursday. Thank you, Etta, for your lovely hospitality. It was so interesting to watch the movie in conjunction with reading the book, “Lion.” (there – got all views included!) And it was a first for a long time that all members were able to attend (except Amy of course – but we hope she’ll join us again someday.) The general agreement was that the story is amazing (a 10) and the writing not so much. I gave the latter a 6 but the memoir is astonishing and I’m glad to have read it.
Heaviness
Does anyone have the book ‘Heaviness…. ‘ that I could borrow – maybe read this weekend or next?
In today’s herald they list The Heaviness of Things That Float as a
must read for 2016.
